After a match in which he had betrayed the agreement with his business partners, he was brutally tortured by the latter, leaving him for dead in a dark alley. It was a certain Dr Vex, a great surgeon and engineer working at Primus Cyber Technologies Corp., who treated his wounds and grafted him a prosthesis for his face and another for his arm, making him more powerful, but also distancing him more and more from the little humanity that remained in him.
